Herbert Goulet, Sr., 77, of West Monroe, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at his home.
Born to Arthur and Katie Goulet, Herb graduated from Uxbridge High School in MA, Class of 1958. He worked for American News Corp. in New England, and transferred to Syracuse News Co. in NY, where he met his beloved wife Virginia, who passed away in 2007. Herb then took a position with North Shore Auto Supply where he worked for over 20 years. He was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish and St. Bernadette's Church, and member of the Moose Club, Rotary Club, and Greenview County Club. He loved to garden, golf, make maple syrup, and mostly spending time with family.
Herbert is survived by his son Herbert (Tammy) Goulet, Jr. of Constantia; daughter Brenda Bucher of West Monroe; siblings Roland Goulet, Arthur Goulet, Katherine Lloyd, Linda (George) Clark, Rita Maul, and Gail (Mark) Kuiper; grandchildren Michael and Joseph Goulet and Ashley and Alexis Bucher; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, at 9:15 am, at Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main St., Central Square followed by a Catholic Mass at 10:00 am, at Divine Mercy Parish in Central Square. Calling hours will be held on Monday, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Oswego County Hospice, PO Box 102, Oswego, NY 13126.
