Vivian E. Coleman, 93, of Summit Village, Watertown, formerly of Central Square, passed peacefully at Upstate University Hospital, with her daughter by her side. She was born on September 6, 1929 in Brownville, NY to the late John and the late Golda (Running) Taylor. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Skip” in 2006, whom she married in 1965; her sisters, Ida Bazinet Marshall and Beulah Brown; and son-in-law, Robert Hunter. She was previously married to John Solar.
Vivian was employed by the C-Way Restaurant in Clayton for many years. She worked for Harold’s Pharmacy as their Bookkeeper and retired from there after 40 years.
Vivian and Skip spent their winters in Hudson, Florida and summers at Knobby Knoll in Sackets Harbor, NY. They enjoyed entertaining their friends and family, hosting many Superbowl parties and family gatherings at camp.
Vivian is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Ronald) Hax of Thomaston, Conn, Diana (Darrel) Harris of Carthage, NY, Deborah Hunter (Jim Larkins) of Clayton, NY, Susan (James) Parsnow of Central Square, NY, and Teresa (Frank) Sisto of Williamsburg, VA, Thomas Coleman of Central Square, NY; and John Coleman of Central Square, NY; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 4-5 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 5 PM at Watson Funeral Home, Central Square. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Legion Post 915, 3301 Fulton Ave, Central Square, NY 13036.
