Olive Jean (Bashant) Sangiovanni, 88, of Tupper Lake, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020.

Born in Malone, NY on November 14, 1931 to Archie and Lima (Gilbert) Bashant, Jean worked at the O.W.D. and Mercy Healthcare. She was a member of Senior Companions and Foster Grandparents. Jean was an avid reader who loved to sew, color, and solve crossword puzzles.

Jean is predeceased by her husband Salvadore; a sister Ruth West of West Monroe; and brother Larry Bashant of Oklahoma City, OK. She is survived by her daughters Marguerite (Ron) Brickey of Baldwinsville and Jane (Bart) Crary of Tupper Lake; son Salvadore (Estelle) Sangiovanni of Syracuse; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; cousins; and close friend of the family, Marcel Soucy of Baldwinsville.

A Private Graveside service will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Cleveland, NY.

The family would like to extend a very special "Thank You" to Christina Charland and Christine Black for the wonderful care they gave Jean.
