Jean Marie Brenner, 99, of Hastings, passed peacefully on Friday, October 22, 2021.
Born in Toledo, Ohio on April 14, 1922 to Eugene R. and Annie Brickman, Jean was an accomplished harpist as a young woman and had a flair for artwork. She was a talented seamstress and crafter who also loved gardening.
Jean is predeceased by her husband Julius "Dutch" Brenner; and siblings Annie Rosalyn Brickman (Infant), Marybeth Coolican, and Morrison "Sunshine" Bennett. She is survived by her children Michael J. (Karen) Brenner of Brewerton, NY, Mark E. (Marcia) Brenner of Pearland, TX, and Marilyn (Joseph) McLaughlin of Evans Mills, NY; siblings Conrad "Bud" Brickman of Loudenville, NY and Elladean Dunn of Webster, NY; seven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 26th, at 8:00 am, at Divine Mercy Parish, Central Square, with a burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
The family would like to extend a very heartfelt "Thank You" to Samaritan Summit Village and Mary Hunt for the care they provided Jean.
