Bernard "Bernie" Corsette, 90, of Constantia, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, April 11, 2021, with loving family by his side.
Bernie served with the US Army during the Korean War (1952-1953), where he earned a Purple Heart. He was employed with Oberdorfer Pumps, retiring after 30+ years of service. Bernie was a life member of Trach Auringer VFW Post #7325 in Constantia, American Legion Post #1128 in Williamstown, Military Order of the Purple Heart, and member of Gayville Hunting Club.
Bernie is predeceased by his parents Frederick and Leona Corsette; son Mark Corsette; sisters Beverly Bryant, June Bryant, Delores Corsette, and Donna Jones; and brothers Norman and Neil Corsette. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Ruth Corsette; children Debra Corsette; son Gary (Denise) Corsette, Betty (David) Potter, and William Sr. (Alida) Corsette; brothers Donald, Ellwyn, and Robert Corsette; grandchildren Mark, Nick, Jessie, Amanda, Dakota, Nolan, Billy Jr., and Heidi; and great grandchildren Lydia, Devin, Cole, Cameron, Daniel, Miylah, and Brooks.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, 1:00 pm, at Union Settlement Cemetery in West Monroe. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Constantia VFW or Williamstown American Legion.
