Robert E. Coad, 89, of Central Square, passed away on Tuesday, at his home with his loved ones by his side. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired as a Captain in the Army Reserves. Robert enjoyed square dancing and "called" for many years. He also enjoyed grilling and loved a good barbeque with family and friends. Robert was a passionate family man who loved sharing the outdoors with his wife and children. He owned the Coad Insurance Agency, in Constantia, which he ran with his wife for over 25 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Anna Coad; children, David (Christine) Coad, Marcia (Robert) Craft, Alan (Ellen) Coad, Michael Coad, Jennifer Kossman, and Jeanne (Philip) Marra; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at Watson Funeral Home, on Thursday August 2, 10-11 AM, with a service to follow. Burial will take place at West Monroe Cemetery.
