Phyllis C. Sluzar, 92, of West Monroe, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019, at St. Luke's in Oswego, after a long illness.
Born on November 18, 1927, in Foxborough, MA, to Olive Seltsam Tinkham and Harry Tiinkham, Phyllis was a Homemaker, and in her earlier years, wintered in Florida with her husband Alex. They both enjoyed square dancing, gardening, extensive traveling, and spending time with family.
Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Alex Sluzar in 1994; sister Carol Herrington; and brother Raymond Tinkham. She is survived by her sons Joe (Sandy) Sluzar, Gary (Ellen) Sluzar, daughter Linda (Randy Howard) Bennett; five grandchildren Melissa (Chad) Wilkinsen, Heather (Chris Caulafont) Oliver, Josh (Matt Bailey) Bennett, Danielle (Dustin) Clark, and Olivia Sluzar; seven great grandchildren Jeb and Jackie Booth, Giselle Wilkensen, Mason and Jacob Clark, and Isaac and Grant Oliver; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, November 30th, 10-11 am, at Watson Funeral Home, Central Square, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11 am. Burial will be immediately following the service in Union Settlement Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Union Settlement Cemetery, 21 Co. Rt. 26, W. Monroe, NY 13167, Alzheimer's Associate, or a charity of your choice.
