Constance E. Shelton, 77, of Central Square, passed away on Tuesday unexpectedly of natural causes. She graduated from Northport High School on Long Island and became a medical secretary. Connie met George in 1960 and they were married soon after, upon which she left her career to raise a family. She traveled with her husband throughout the world during his military career. During that time, she became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and continued that faith until her death. Connie cherished her time with her husband, often taking rides down to the river in Brewerton together.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George E. Shelton; children, Michael E. Shelton, Maureen (Dean) Yanulis; grandchildren, Michael A. Shelton, Katherine Yanulis, and Nathan Yanulis; brother, Wayne (Elaine) Brush; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be Friday, 4 – 7 PM, at Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main St., Central Square, NY. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, 10 AM, at the Central Square Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery in Central Square.
