Laura "Gigi" E. Piersall

Laura "Gigi" E. Piersall, 98, of Pennellville, passed away on Saturday at St. Lukes Nursing Home in Oswego. Laura was born the 6th child out of 11 on March 1, 1920 to George and Esther Gristwood, in Clay, NY. She was the last surviving of her siblings. Laura retired from Syroco Manufacturing, and enjoyed baking cakes for various occasions. She was an avid horse racing fan.

Laura was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, W. Henry Piersall, on May 21, 1988. 

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Esther Pickard of Liverpool; grandchildren, Randall (Holly), Robert (Kim), Deborah, Mary Ann, Brenda, and Tammy; 15 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, 10 AM - 12 PM, at Watson Funeral Home, Central Square, with a service to follow. Burial will take place at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
