Franklin Lockerby

Franklin Lockerby, 91 passed away Friday evening August 12, 2016 at Colonial Park Nursing Home in Rome, NY where he was a resident.

Mr. Lockerby formerly of Cleveland was born July 19, 1925 in Cleveland NY to Willis and Mary (Seeber) Lockerby. He served in the United States Army in 194 3-44. Mr. Lockerby was a self-employed carpenter in the area for many years. He was a member of the Cleveland American Legion post #858 and a member of Cleveland United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter Bonnie Dunham, a sister Elma Lord, 3 grandchildren Tami Vaughan, Robert Dunham, Kelly Bryant, 4 great Grandchildren, Dakota, Aaron, Ty and Brooke. He was predeceased by his parents,his wife Marjorie, a brother David, two sisters Thelma Owens and Mae Lord.

Calling Hours will be Wednesday August 17, 2016 from 1-3pm at the Cleveland United Methodist Church with the Funeral Service to follow at 3pm. Burial will be at Maple Flats Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the American Legion or Cleveland Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements are with Watson Funeral Home, Central Square.
